Why Buy Ethereum(ETH)?

What is Ethereum? The Platform for Smart Contracts and Decentralized Applications
Ethereum (ETH), founded by Vitalik Buterin in 2015, is the world's first public blockchain supporting smart contracts. Ethereum enables developers to build decentralized applications (dApps), DeFi protocols, NFTs, and more, driving explosive growth in the Web3 ecosystem. Ether (ETH) is the native token of the Ethereum network.
How Does Ethereum Work? EVM, Gas Fees, and Consensus
Ethereum relies on distributed nodes, with every transaction requiring ETH as a "gas fee." Smart contracts automatically execute conditional agreements, widely used in finance, gaming, supply chains, and more. Initially using PoW, Ethereum completed "The Merge" upgrade in 2022, transitioning fully to Proof of Stake (PoS), reducing energy consumption by over 99% and enhancing sustainability and security.
Supply Mechanism and EIP-1559
Ethereum has no fixed supply cap, but since EIP-1559, a portion of ETH is burned with each transaction, helping reduce inflationary pressure. ETH is essential for paying gas fees, staking rewards, and governance participation, with demand growing alongside ecosystem expansion.
Ecosystem and Use Cases
Ethereum's ERC-20 and ERC-721 standards fueled the rise of DeFi and NFTs, giving birth to projects like Uniswap, Aave, and OpenSea. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) provides a flexible programming environment, promoting cross-chain interoperability and Layer 2 scaling solutions (e.g., Rollups, Sharding).
Reasons and Risks for Investing in Ethereum
Web3 and Smart Contract Infrastructure: ETH is the core asset for DeFi, NFT, DAO, and other innovative applications. Technical Upgrades and Ecosystem Growth: PoS transition and EIP-1559 enhance network performance and value capture. High Liquidity and Mainstream Acceptance: ETH is traded globally, second only to Bitcoin in market cap. Risks: Network congestion, high gas fees, competition from emerging blockchains (e.g., Solana, Avalanche), and regulatory uncertainty.
Skeptical Views and Alternative Perspectives
While Ethereum's ecosystem is vast, scalability and fee issues persist. Failure to address these could see it overtaken by newer, high-performance blockchains. Investors should monitor technological progress and ecosystem changes.

A few days ago in the afternoon, I still thought this price action looked quite capable of holding up. Then when it dipped during the session, all the “pretenses” were torn open once they were peeled off. $SUI First it hovered sideways at a high level, then the support got thinner and thinner as it rotated. The price then quickly fell back to 0.7647, and the short side finally took over the rhythm.

I was observing SUI at the time—not whether it would bounce, but whether any bounce would have quality. In the end, every time it surged upward it lacked volume. Once the sell orders were pressed, everything went soft. The overhead suppression was very clear, so around 1.0341 I placed a long—without chasing that fake show of strength.

This round of review performance came out to +1255.52%. The longer I had to grind beforehand, the more satisfying it was when it finally came time to realize. Being able to turn judgment into results is also a way to give credit to patience.

First take 80% of the position at take-profit to lock it in. Keep the remaining 80% going, but the protection level has already been pushed to the cost basis. If it keeps selling off further, let the profit extend on its own. If it bounces back, exit according to the protection level—don’t gamble on emotions by giving up realized profit.

Market moves are waited out; profits are held on to. It’s better to miss a move than to chase impulsively in a sudden selloff. For friends who haven’t entered yet, stay steady first—there are still opportunities. Don’t be in a hurry.

I thought I’d have to spend this night grinding it out until it finally lulled me to sleep. But after my last glance before bed, the chart flipped its behavior outright. A few days ago, before sleeping, $HBAR was still probing repeatedly at the high level; when I opened it again, the price had already reached 0.07166, and the shorts cashed out decisively.
Back then, I wasn’t getting carried along by those few surge candles. What I saw was that volume didn’t keep up, while sell pressure kept increasing—every time it tried to push higher, it was forced back down. Before the chart had fully started moving, I reminded myself to watch the pressure level and execute a long around 0.08855; I was waiting for this breakdown to loosen.
My review profit so far is +1359.81%. The answer is already right in front of me. The waiting beforehand wasn’t wasted—what feels truly comfortable isn’t guessing correctly, but being able to handle things according to plan after entering.
This time, take profit on 80% first, and protect the remaining 20% at the cost basis. If the decline continues, let the profits keep running. If there’s a retracement, don’t stubbornly hold on, and definitely don’t mess up the momentum you’ve already locked in just for the final bite.
Risk management done upfront is called being rational; cutting losses after things go wrong is called a soldier’s broken wrist. For uncertain market conditions, a quick look keeps you clear-headed—acting impulsively is just foolish. If you miss it, don’t chase; wait until a new structure forms, then reassess.

$ETH On the daily chart, everyone take a look—whether an 8 o’clock close could form a doji. The current doji is indicating a shift in this market; it doesn’t necessarily mean a drop—it could also mean sideways consolidation. On the 4-hour chart, the bottom here is slowly rising, and the top is also slowly getting higher. On the 1-hour chart, it looks like price went down to 1958 and then popped up with a quick spike. This wave of decline hasn’t been accompanied by a very large volume. As long as it hasn’t broken 1910, we’re still looking bullish. If you want to open a long, you can open a long—but if it breaks 1910, you need to get out. Don’t be like the host—the host held the order today and got liquidated after the position blew up.
