According to code findings monitored by Beating, Anthropic is preparing a new proactive assistant feature called Orbit that connects to Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Calendar, Drive, and Figma. The feature uses an opt-in mechanism and generates personalized briefings from connected work tools while detecting user time zones. Orbit currently appears as a toggle switch in the settings panel, indicating an early gray-phase stage before official launch. Anthropic’s developer conference Code with Claude is scheduled for May 6 in San Francisco, where Orbit may be formally announced.
