China's Defense Minister Dong Jun Visits South Africa for First Time in 12 Years, Talks on Deepening Military Cooperation

According to China's Defense Ministry spokesman, Defense Minister Dong Jun visited South Africa recently and held talks with South Africa's Defense and Veterans Affairs Minister on deepening bilateral military cooperation. The two sides reached consensus on strengthening strategic communication, improving institutional frameworks, conducting professional exchanges, and deepening education and training collaboration. This visit marks China's first defense ministerial visit to South Africa in 12 years.
