According to John D'Agostino, head of institutional strategy at Coinbase, institutional investors view recent Bitcoin price declines as a significant buying opportunity. D'Agostino told CNBC that family offices and sovereign wealth funds have been accumulating Bitcoin at multiple price levels, including $125,000, $100,000, and $65,000, seeing the pullback as a chance to increase positions at lower costs.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs currently hold approximately $100 billion in assets, with this level largely maintained despite recent market volatility, indicating strong institutional confidence. D'Agostino also highlighted that while Bitcoin has declined roughly 50 percent from its peak, individual investor demand has decreased only approximately 15 percent, underscoring market resilience.
