Coinbase: Governments and Family Offices Continue Buying Bitcoin at $59,100 Discount

BTC-2.04%
According to Bitcoin.com News, Coinbase's head of institutional strategy John D'Agostino said on CNBC that governments, family offices, and sovereign wealth funds are actively purchasing bitcoin as prices fell to a 2026 low of $59,100 last week. D'Agostino noted that institutions originally willing to accumulate bitcoin at $100,000 to $125,000 are even more interested at current levels. He pointed to observations from a recent Middle East trip, citing UAE family offices and sovereign wealth funds as active buyers treating the decline as an opportunity to add exposure, rather than retreating during the selloff.
