Goldman Sachs Upgrades Cloud and Data Center Stocks; VNET Surges 12%, GBS up 8% in U.S. Premarket

On June 9, U.S. premarket trading saw significant gains in Chinese cloud and data center stocks, according to Bitget data. Century Link Inc. (VNET) rose over 12%, Wan Guan Data (GBS) climbed over 8%, Kingsoft Cloud (KC) gained over 6%, and Alibaba (BABA) rose nearly 1%.

Goldman Sachs issued a report reaffirming its positive outlook on the cloud and data center sector for the second half of 2026. The bank projects China's daily token usage will reach 350 trillion by year-end and recommends Alibaba, Wan Guan Data, Century Link, and Kingsoft Cloud as top picks in the segment.
