According to on-chain data from Lookonchain and Arkham, Humanity Protocol suffered a private key compromise today (June 9) that drained over $31 million from project-linked wallets. The Humanity Foundation confirmed the breach in an official X post, stating that private keys belonging to a foundation member had been compromised. The incident triggered a devastating sell-off in the $H token, which collapsed from around $0.73 to as low as $0.05 before recovering slightly to $0.12, representing an 80% decline in 24 hours.
On-chain data showed the attacker drained 17 to 19 project-linked wallets and began swapping stolen tokens for ETH and BNB. At peak, the attacker's wallet held approximately $41.8 million in assets. The project urged users to avoid interacting with its bridge and liquidity pools while investigations are ongoing.
