Perplexity CEO Confirms IPO Plans for 2028 Regardless of Anthropic, OpenAI Listings

According to CNBC, Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas said on Tuesday that the company plans to go public in 2028 regardless of how Anthropic or OpenAI's initial public offerings perform. "Agnostic of these two companies, we were planning for something in 2028 so that still remains the case," Srinivas told CNBC. He added that while major IPO listings could have ripple effects if unsuccessful, Perplexity remains committed to its timeline and believes frontier AI companies deserve high valuations given their innovation pace.
