According to Alibaba Group's official statement, the U.S. Department of Defense has added Alibaba to the list of Chinese military enterprises. The company said the designation is a mistake, stating it has no factual basis and that Alibaba is not a military enterprise and has not participated in any civil-military integration strategy. Alibaba said it will pursue all available legal remedies in response.
