Odaily Planet Daily reports that on-chain analyst Yu Yan monitoring indicates that Tether’s current BTC reserve address holds 87,296 BTC (worth $8.84 billion), making it the sixth-largest BTC wallet. The BTC stored in this wallet has been purchased using 15% of the company’s profits since 2023. Previously, the company only withdrew BTC purchased during each quarter from Bitfinex on the last day of that quarter. Based on the price at which they withdrew from Bitfinex, the average purchase price of these BTC is approximately $49,121, with an unrealized profit of $4.549 billion.
