Recently, the official Pi Network announced the core development plan for 2026, addressing the most concerned issue among pioneers—practical applications—and providing direction for the project's next phase of development. According to official sources, 2026 will be a critical year for Pi Network as it transitions from the comprehensive construction phase to actual implementation. The project will focus on three core areas: ecological closed-loop, compliant landing, and value empowerment, advancing key tasks steadily in three stages to gradually realize Pi’s true value and benefit all long-term committed pioneer users. According to the official plan, in the first half of 2026 (January to June), the project will prioritize completing the comprehensive improvement of the global compliance system, laying a secure foundation for large-scale implementation. During this phase, Pi Network will complete the application for payment licenses in the remaining 12 countries and regions across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, achieving full compliance for Pi transfers and circulation; simultaneously, a new upgraded KYC 3.0 identity verification system will be launched to optimize verification processes and efficiency, aiming to complete compliance verification for existing pioneers by the end of June; the project will also collaborate with top international law firms to publish a global compliance white paper, clarifying Pi’s asset positioning, circulation rules, and ecological standards, clearing legal obstacles for subsequent development.

From July to September 2026, the project will enter the core ecological closed-loop construction period, focusing on breakthroughs in practical application scenarios. The official will launch Pi Global Payment Gateway 1.0, connecting with over 500 mainstream merchants including Amazon, Walmart, and Alibaba International Station, covering high-frequency daily scenarios such as shopping, dining, travel, and cross-border trade, enabling Pi to truly support daily payment use; at the same time, a developer support program will be initiated, investing 10 million Pi as a special fund to encourage global developers to build diverse DApp applications, fostering a healthy ecological cycle; additionally, the mainnet governance system will be officially established, allowing pioneer users to deeply participate in ecological decision-making, transforming from participants to co-builders.

From October to December 2026, the project will comprehensively promote value empowerment upgrades, moving toward a global inclusive goal. The official will initiate Pi’s anchoring plan with global physical assets, expanding applications in scenarios such as commodities, real estate, and cross-border labor payments to solidify Pi’s long-term value support; simultaneously, a wealth management sector will be launched, offering value-added services such as financial management and staking mining to meet pioneers’ asset allocation needs; at the end of the year, the first global Pi Pioneer Ecology Conference will be held to showcase the year's implementation achievements and release a new development blueprint for 2027, gathering global consensus.

Meanwhile, the official founders of Pi Network have made three important commitments to global pioneers: first, to maintain openness and transparency, implementing monthly updates and quarterly reports in 2026, publicly disclosing key progress on compliance, ecology, and funds in real time; second, to prioritize pioneers, ensuring all major decisions are centered on pioneer interests and community opinions are fully heard; third, to ensure implementation, completing over 90% of the annual core goals by December 31, 2026, achieving global compliance and landing of Pi, fulfilling the project’s original intention.
