Today I came across an interesting perspective

When you feel bored, that’s when your life truly begins to have meaning
Humans are naturally afraid of boredom, because boredom forces you to think about meaning—it automatically makes you consider questions you previously didn’t want to think about
Today’s era has completely wiped out boredom—when you use your phone to drive boredom away, you’re one step farther from life’s meaning. Even while you wait at a red light for ten seconds, you’re scrolling
You think you’re passing the time, but in reality, you’re avoiding the uncomfortable questions that come after boredom makes you reflect
Then when you don’t think about meaning for a long time, anxiety and depression start to grow wildly—not because you’re not working hard enough, but because you’ve never taken your own life seriously
Most people’s ability to seek meaning is even degrading. Your phone is filling every blank space—you don’t even get the chance to practice being with yourself. Over time, you no longer know what you want—only emptiness and exhaustion
