Just discovered this actually works if you're trying to figure out who's behind those random calls in Pakistan. Been getting spam messages and finally found a way to check number details online without paying anything.
So basically there are free tools that let you search unknown SIM numbers and they pull up the owner's name, CNIC, and which carrier it is (Jazz, Zong, Ufone, etc.). The easiest one I found is Freshsimownerdetails—you just enter the mobile number and it shows you the details. Takes like 30 seconds.
If you don't want to use those sites, you can also contact your telecom provider directly. All the major carriers in Pakistan have customer support where you can verify SIM information. Jazz has that *444# code thing, and Ufone lets you text 'info' to 666.
One thing though—definitely check the legal side before you start looking up random people's details. It's legal if it's your own SIM or with permission, but there are privacy laws in Pakistan you need to be aware of. Don't want to get into trouble over this.
Has anyone else used these tools to check number details online? Curious if they actually work for tracking down the source of those annoying calls. Might file a complaint with PTA if it keeps happening.
