Which next crypto to hit $1 should you actually watch in 2026? I've been digging into the market and narrowed things down to four projects that seem to have real potential, but here's the thing - they all need specific conditions to break through that psychological barrier.

Let me start with Dogecoin. Yeah, it's the OG meme coin, but the numbers are interesting. DOGE peaked near $0.74 back in 2021 and is now sitting around $0.11. For it to hit a dollar, we're looking at roughly a 900% climb, which would push its market cap to around $169 billion - making it the third biggest crypto after Bitcoin and Ethereum. The 2026 narrative around the Bitcoin halving and general market sentiment could work in its favor, but it's not a guarantee.

Then there's Kaspa. This one uses blockDAG instead of traditional blockchain, so it's got some technical edge. KAS hit $0.21 last year but has pulled back to $0.04. To reach $1, it needs a 25x move - that's a massive jump that would require serious market momentum and ecosystem growth. The community is solid though, and the technology is genuinely different from the noise out there.

Stellar feels more established. XLM has been around for a decade and actually serves a real purpose in cross-border payments. It's currently trading around $0.16 and touched $0.60+ during previous bull runs, but never quite made it to a dollar. The ecosystem is expanding, and if we see another major crypto rally, XLM could realistically approach or exceed those previous highs. Some prediction models suggest it might hit $0.25 by mid-2026, which is conservative but plausible.

Hedera Hashgraph is the enterprise play. HBAR peaked at $0.57 in 2021 and is now at $0.09. It's got corporate backing through its governing council and focuses on real-world use cases rather than pure speculation. For HBAR to reach $1, we'd need serious institutional adoption momentum and broader market tailwinds. The technology is solid, but execution matters more than potential here.

Here's what I think matters most: none of these next crypto to hit $1 will do it in isolation. They're all tied to Bitcoin's performance and overall market cycles. If we see a major bull run post-halving, maybe two or three of them could surprise us. If the market turns sideways, they're all staying under $1. The psychological barrier is real, but it's really just a number - what matters is whether the underlying projects deliver on their promises and whether the broader market cooperates.
DOGE0.28%
KAS0.1%
XLM-0.59%
HBAR0.49%
