Sun Dongming departs for visits to Sweden and Finland to strengthen cooperation in innovative technology and other areas
The Director of Innovation, Technology and Industry, Sun Tung-ming, will depart tomorrow (10th) to visit Sweden and Finland, strengthening Hong Kong’s connections and cooperation with the two countries in areas such as innovation and technology, and to examine their development experience in the integration of industry, academia and research.
During the visit, Sun Tung-ming will tour local universities and higher education institutions, research organizations and innovation and technology facilities, and will meet with relevant government policy officials, innovation and technology sector organizations and representatives of technology companies.
Sun Tung-ming will return to Hong Kong on the afternoon of 15 May. During his absence, the Deputy Director of Innovation, Technology and Industry, Zhang Man-lily, will act as the Director.
In addition, the Secretary for Administration, Chan Kwok-kei, will depart tomorrow morning for Jiangxi to attend the opening ceremony of the series of exchange activities titled “Inheriting the Long March Spirit and Continuing the Red Bloodline” – a journey back along the Long March route by youth from Hong Kong and Macau – to be held in Ruijin City on 11 May.
Chan Kwok-kei will return to Hong Kong on the afternoon of 11 May. During his absence, the Deputy Secretary for Administration, Zhuo Wing-hing, will act as the Secretary for Administration.
