Just went down this rabbit hole about John McAfee and honestly, his story is wild. So this guy literally created one of the first antivirus programs back in the 80s, sold it to Intel for $7.7 billion in 2010, and then... just spiraled. Lost most of his fortune in 2008, moved to Belize looking for a fresh start, and ended up in the middle of a murder investigation. Classic tech billionaire gone rogue energy.

But here's where it gets interesting - his wife Janice Dyson. They met in Miami Beach in 2012 under pretty unconventional circumstances. She was working as a prostitute at the time, he was this eccentric millionaire on the run from authorities. They got married literally the next year. Age gap was huge (he was 71, she was 34), but apparently they had this intense connection. People were obsessed with their relationship - partly because of how they met, partly because of the chaos that followed.

Their marriage was basically non-stop legal drama. McAfee was dodging taxes, facing extradition charges, constantly moving around. Janice Dyson stood by him through all of it though. They were literally fugitives together for years - hiding from the law, dealing with threats, the whole thing. Even when they divorced in 2019, she kept supporting him publicly.

Then in October 2020, McAfee got arrested at Barcelona airport. He was facing serious charges - tax evasion, not reporting crypto income, the works. Could've gotten 30 years. Eight months later, he died in his cell. Spanish authorities said suicide, but Janice Dyson has never believed that story. She's been fighting it ever since, claiming he was in good spirits, talking about legal strategies. She even got that '$WHACKD' tattoo he had as evidence he was paranoid about being killed.

Since his death in 2021, Janice Dyson has basically become the keeper of his legacy. She's all over social media, posting about him, pushing for independent investigations, trying to clear his name. Some people think there's more to his death than what officials say. Whether you believe the conspiracy theories or not, you gotta admit - their story is absolutely insane. It's like a modern thriller nobody could've written better.
