Golden Finance reports that on May 10th, according to CCTV News, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a press conference on the evening of May 9th local time to answer related questions. Putin stated that the recent Red Square parade did not showcase military equipment, which was not entirely for security reasons, but because soldiers should focus on thoroughly defeating the enemy. He emphasized that these decisions were made well before Ukraine issued threats.
Putin said that before U.S. President Trump proposed the relevant initiative, Russia had already suggested exchanging 500 detained personnel with Ukraine, but Kyiv delayed multiple times, and Russia has not yet received any proposal from Ukraine regarding the exchange. Putin mentioned that Slovak Prime Minister Fico conveyed a message from Ukrainian President Zelensky expressing a desire to meet. Putin stated that Russia does not oppose a meeting; if there is willingness, they can come to Moscow, and Russia also does not oppose talks in a third country, with the aim of ultimately signing an agreement.
