TON ecosystem activity remained strong this week, with major developments around execution efficiency, lower fees, and increasing on-chain activity.
On May 5, StonFi processed nearly $40M in swap volume within a single day, marking one of the highest daily figures recorded in 2026. During peak activity, swaps were happening roughly every 0.73 seconds throughout the full 24 hour period.
One of the biggest conversations this week centered around MTONGA and where TON activity is truly settling after the latest infrastructure upgrades. The focus is gradually shifting toward execution quality, liquidity movement, and long term ecosystem participation instead of simple distribution metrics alone.
TON’s recent fee reduction update also introduced a major improvement. Transaction costs reportedly dropped by around 83%, with some swaps now costing close to $0.0005. Lower fees could steadily improve accessibility and increase overall ecosystem activity over time.
