💢🔹️😱 The $750 Million Dinner: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day!

On May 22, 2010, programmer Laszlo Hanyecz made history by trading 10,000 Bitcoins for two large Papa John's pizzas.

At the time, the coins were worth about $41. Today, with Bitcoin sitting around $75,000, those two pizzas would be worth a staggering $750 million. That is roughly $46.8 million per slice.

It sounds like the ultimate financial facepalm, but Bitcoin Pizza Day is a legendary milestone for two big reasons:

First Real-World Transaction: It proved Bitcoin wasn't just an abstract tech experiment. This trade stepped out of the whitepaper and showed crypto had actual purchasing power.

No Regrets: Laszlo has stated he doesn't regret the deal. Without early pioneers willing to actually *spend* their coins, crypto might never have gained the traction it has today.

On May 22, keep the tradition alive: order a pizza, appreciate the history, and maybe pay with fiat currency this time. 😉
