Let’s talk about my thoughts on the timing of SpaceX’s IPO. I think it will be very difficult to finish ringing the bell by June 12, and it is very likely to be pushed back to the second half of the year or even later.
Although SpaceX’s valuation is as high as $1.75 trillion, the IPO involves a large amount of time for regulatory review, financial disclosures, and market communication. Musk has always been cautious about going public and has delayed it multiple times before. This “June 12” this time is more of a market rumor; there has been no clear timetable officially provided. Also, with current market volatility being high, the IPO window is not favorable, so SpaceX has no need to take the risk of going public at a time like this.
I’m more inclined to think that SpaceX’s IPO process will continue to move forward, but it won’t land as quickly as the rumors suggest. If it can be completed this year, that would already be quite good, and the June 12 date is basically unrealistic.
