The U.S. military's blockade of Iranian ports shows no signs of easing
On May 24, the U.S. Navy continued issuing gunfire warnings to vessels entering and leaving Iranian ports, forcing one ship to remain in waters near Chabahar Port, while the strait blockade posture was not eased. Wanwood Maritime Analysis said that although rumors suggested the U.S. and Iran might reach an agreement, satellite images showed that traffic in the Strait of Hormuz remained tense, with large oil tankers mostly berthed near Iranian islands and only a few small cargo ships making departures and arrivals.
