Lately, watching governance votes feels a bit like watching the weather: the clouds are thick, the thunder is loud, and whether it actually rains or not is another story. Delegated voting was originally meant to save time, but the more you save, the more it feels like you’re handing the steering wheel to a few people. To put it bluntly, who exactly are governance tokens governing… maybe it’s us—those of us who are too lazy to keep an eye on proposals. Over on L2, they argue every day about TPS, fees, and ecosystem subsidies—looks lively—but the moment the votes open, it’s still the same few addresses that set the tone with a single line. And where the subsidies go is pretty much the same too. In any case, my current sense of boundaries is: I don’t need to be understood; I just want to know whether changes to the rules will affect my little arbitrage route. As for the rest… I’ll wait and see. If I lose, then I’ll review it.
