🇺🇸 U.S. May PCE Inflation Comes In Exactly As Expected

📊 May PCE Inflation Data:
• PCE YoY: 4.1% (Forecast: 4.1%, Previous: 3.8%)
• PCE MoM: 0.4% (Forecast: 0.5%, Previous: 0.4%)
📊 Core PCE Inflation:
• Core PCE YoY: 3.4% (Forecast: 3.4%, Previous: 3.3%)
• Core PCE MoM: 0.3% (Forecast: 0.3%, Previous: 0.3%)
👉 The Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge came in exactly in line with market expectations. At the same time, U.S. Q1 GDP was revised higher to +2.1%, above the previous estimate of +1.6%.
⚠️ The combination of:
• stable but still elevated inflation
• and stronger-than-expected economic growth keeps the possibility of another Fed rate hike alive heading into the second half of the year.
📈 Markets are now watching whether:
• the Fed maintains its hawkish stance
• the U.S. dollar continues strengthening
#• and risk assets like Bitcoin can stabilize after recent volatility.
