ETH at $1580, are you cutting losses or adding positions?
Down 7% in a day, crashing from 1692 to 1512, ETF net outflows for 7 consecutive days, BlackRock dumped $12.85 million in a single day. But just now, the 4-hour MACD showed a bullish divergence—is this a dead cat bounce or the final drop before dawn?
Your ETH, from over 2000 three months ago, has fallen to 1580 today.
A full 20% drop.
If you bought at the peak of $4000—sorry, you've already been cut in half.
First thing: ETFs are fleeing, but someone is quietly building positions
On June 27, Ethereum spot ETFs saw net outflows of $12.85 million, the 7th consecutive day of net outflows.
BlackRock's ETHA alone redeemed $12.85 million (approximately 8,150 ETH).
However, the cumulative total net inflow of Ethereum spot ETFs is still as high as $10.9 billion, with total net assets of $8.38 billion, accounting for 4.42% of ETH's total market cap.
Second thing: Down 7% in a day, but someone caught the falling knife at 1512
ETH crashed directly from $1692 to $1512, a single-day drop of 5.9%.
Currently trading around 1580, a rebound of nearly $70 from the low.
Key details—
When it hit 1512, trading volume exploded.
Then what? Buying pressure returned, and the price V-rebounded to 1580.
Third thing: The Glamsterdam upgrade could be ETH's 'The Merge moment'
ETH's next major upgrade, Glamsterdam, is planned for the second half of 2026.
This is Ethereum's biggest network upgrade since The Merge in 2022.
Fourth thing: Fundamentals haven't collapsed; what's collapsed is your mentality
Look at some hard data:
Staking amount: About 30-32% of total supply is staked (36-40 million ETH), significantly reducing circulating selling pressure
DeFi TVL: ETH still accounts for over 60% of global DeFi share
ETF cumulative inflow: $10.9 billion, institutional holdings only increasing
ETH has fallen over 40% from its August 2025 high to now.
But have fundamentals collapsed?
No.
Bull vs bear showdown, you decide
On one side (bears telling stories):
ETF net outflows for 7 consecutive days, BlackRock leading the exodus
All moving averages are bearishly arranged, MA7 < MA30 < MA120
Fear and Greed Index at 13, extreme fear
Historical data shows a 60% probability of downward breakout with this pattern
On the other side (bulls telling the truth):
4-hour MACD bullish divergence, oversold signal has appeared
1512 low with volume rebound, someone is catching the falling knife
Glamsterdam upgrade coming in Q3, the biggest upgrade since The Merge
ETF cumulative net inflow still exceeds $10.9 billion, institutions haven't left
Staking ratio 30%+, circulating supply continuously locked
Key levels
Upper resistance: 1580-1600 → 1620-1635 → 1655-1692
Lower support: 1550-1560 → 1512-1520 → 1500 → 1490
Short-term traders:
Wait for a retrace to the 1520-1550 range, and once you see a 1-hour stop of decline with volume, lightly go long.
Stop loss: 1480.
Target: First take half profit at 1600-1620, then look at 1655-1692 if broken.
Note: If the rebound to near 1600 fails to break through with shrinking volume, beware of a 'dead cat bounce'—bears may counterattack.
Swing traders:
Build positions in batches at 1500-1550, total position controlled within 15%.
Stop loss: Reduce positions if it breaks below 1480, clear if it breaks below 1400.
Target: First look at 1700-1850, then 2000-2200
Long-term believers:
Dollar-cost average blindly below 1500.
Ignore short-term volatility, focus on Glamsterdam testnet progress and signals of renewed ETF net inflows.
The ETH/BTC ratio has fallen to historical lows—this is a typical precursor to value reversion.
Risk control points:
Don't go all in. Keep cash, wait for better positions.
Don't chase ups and downs. 10 years of experience tells me—what's most fearful is not the drop, but lack of discipline.
Can ETH at 1580 be bought?
When ETH dropped to 880 in 2022, you didn't dare to buy.
When ETH rose to 4000 in 2024, you slapped your thigh in regret.
Now at 1580, 60% cheaper than the all-time high, and you're still scared?
Analysts say it will drop to 1000.
Maybe they're right.
But I want to tell you:
The market never rebounds only after everyone is satisfied with the drop.
When you feel 'it's time to bottom fish,' it has already gone up.
Ethereum at 1580—
A game for the brave, or a graveyard for retail investors?
I don't know.
But I know one thing:
Every bull market first makes the majority despair, then runs away alone.
