A while ago, a friend asked Brother Cat, with only 3,000 yuan in hand, wanting to give crypto a try, and asked how to go about it.

Brother Cat said this amount is neither too much nor too little—it sits right on a line in crypto: enough for you to practice, but don’t gamble your life with it. Converted, it’s just over 400U. To grow this little bit of money, it’s not about luck, it’s about rhythm.
He said okay, just tell me how to operate directly.
I said don’t go in thinking you’ll multiply it tenfold—that’s already the wrong path from the first trade. I told him to split the money, divide 400U into 4 parts, use only 100U each time to test and learn. If you lose that 100U, stop, wait for the next round, and don’t rush to recover.
Don’t blindly jump in either; wait for clear entry points. Either when the market panics and drops sharply, or right after it starts moving but before it accelerates—find those spots to act. With 100U open a position, keep leverage within 10x, don’t be greedy. The first goal isn’t to make money, it’s to survive first.
He asked me, how much profit counts as a win on the first trade?
I said whether you make money or not really doesn’t matter—what matters is whether you follow the process correctly. If the direction is right and it goes up 30% to 50%, take some profit first, don’t try to ride it from start to finish. Let the remaining position float on its own, wherever it ends up.
He said isn’t that just like gambling?
I said gambling relies on guessing; this relies on rules. Many people die because—they take profits early and run, but hold onto losses stubbornly. You do the opposite: let profits run when you have them, and cut losses decisively—that’s what trading is.
He actually followed this approach for one round and rolled 100U into over 200U. Not much, but the process was smooth. I said repeat this process, don’t rush, round by round. If you execute without mistakes for three rounds, it’s possible to roll 400U into 2000U or 3000U.
But there’s a prerequisite—you must stay calm.
When it actually reaches that number, I told him to do one thing: withdraw all the principal and keep only the profits inside to continue playing. Many people skip this step and end up giving everything back—not because of bad luck, but because the market gave them a chance and they gave it back.
He later told me he no longer panics when losing, since the principal was already withdrawn.
In the crypto world, there’s never a shortage of opportunities; what’s scarce are people who can control themselves.
