🔥 ORDI just went up by than 20% and the volume is up by 10 times. Is this the start of something big for Ordinals or is it just a quick spike?

I want to give you a look at what is really going on with ORDI because what is happening with the chart today needs to be understood not just talked about.

ORDI is up by than 20% in the last 24 hours and the trading volume is more than 10 times what it usually is. People are actually putting money into ORDI. It is not just people trying to make a profit. This is happening when more people are using the Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem.

Here is what you need to know about. ORDI is the token for the BRC-20 standard. It was the first token that could be used with the Ordinals protocol on Bitcoin. When more people start using the Bitcoin network for things like inscriptions and metaprotocols ORDI is usually the first to benefit. There are transactions happening on the Ordinals network every day and when this happens people often start buying ORDI and other tokens like it.

The technical picture is also important. ORDI has not been doing well for most of 2026. It went from being worth $96 in 2024 to just a few dollars losing more than 95% of its value. So when it goes up like it did today it is coming from a low point. If the reason it is going more people using the Ordinals network. Keeps happening then it could keep going up.

We also need to think about the risks. ORDI can be very volatile. Its price can go up or down by 40% to 80% in one day and then go back down when people take their profits. We do not know yet if this is a change or just a quick spike. What will tell us is if the number of transactions, on the Ordinals network keeps going up over the week.

If Ordinals really starts to come other tokens related to Bitcoin and inscriptions might also start to do well.

My honest opinion is that this is interesting. We should not get too excited yet. We should. See if the price goes back down and then comes back up or if the Ordinals network keeps getting more use before we start buying more.
