$900M FTX CASH IS ABOUT TO HIT THE MARKET 🚨💰

July 31, 2026.
Not a quiet bank transfer story.
A liquidity event that can wake up lazy capital.
FTX Trading and the FTX Recovery Trust (the team returning money from the 2022 collapse) will start the fifth distribution. About $900 million to eligible creditors who finished the work by the June 16, 2026 record date.
The Facts First (Quick And Clean) 📋
What lands: U.S. dollar cash value, not a free bag of original FTX coins.
Where it lands: @BitGo, @fx, or Payoneer, usually within 1 to 3 business days after July 31.
Who gets paid: both sides.
• Everyday users (many smaller Convenience claims)
• Bigger creditors and funds that bought bankruptcy claims earlier at a discount
Same day, preferred equity holders also get about $18M from a separate fund (about $95M total paid from that pot).
whole crypto market is roughly ~$2.2T. Bitcoin is near ~$64k. $900M is not “the whole market,” but it is fresh dry powder in thousands of hands
Two Big Outcomes After July 31 ⚡
Outcome 1: Crypto re-entry (the louder path)
Many creditors skip the boring bank park and put money back into crypto. Why? The market already looks soft. Fear is higher than greed. The old rule still hits: buy when things feel cheap, sell when things feel expensive. If that money leans into altcoins (smaller coins that move harder than Bitcoin), a relief pump can show up weeks after the wire, not always on the same day.
Outcome 2: AI chase (the shiny path)
Some will look outside crypto. AI stocks and AI stories still own the growth narrative in traditional markets. Money loves speed. That bucket can leave crypto and chase the hot sector.
What About Pure Bank Cash?
Some will still wire to the bank. Claim-buyer funds that already won on paper can take profit and sit in dollars. That path is real.
