Gold (XAU) today shows a “dip-buy rebound, ranging and repair” pattern. In the Asia session, it traded with a downward oscillation from the 4050 area, then the low briefly touched the key support at 4018 before quickly rebounding. It is currently trading around 4032, with 4020 becoming an important near-term support line for bulls. Overall, bullish-bear rivalry is intense: the medium-term trend led by bears remains unchanged, but there are signs of short-term technical repair demand.

Technical signals remain mostly bearish: the TRIX trend indicator stays in a dead-cross configuration, and the medium-term downtrend remains clear. The MACD fast and slow lines are running below the 0 axis; although the green momentum histogram has slightly contracted, bearish momentum has not been fully extinguished, so upside room is limited. However, the 4018–4020 support zone is effective. The rapid rebound indicates strong buy-side support underneath, suggesting a short-term technical repair need. The RSI has rebounded from the oversold zone back to 38, with a divergence signal beginning to appear.

Prudent positioning: after the rebound to the 4040–4060 range and at 4100, look to short, targeting 4030–4015. If 4000 is materially broken to the downside, you can continue to hold for further new lows.
