#NansenCEOBullishOnApple
Nansen CEO Alex Svanevik said his confidence in Apple has been renewed, basing this view on five main reasons:
1. Siri is improving – Svanevik believes the Siri experience in the iOS 27 beta is significantly improved compared to previous versions.
2. Edge AI inference – Apple is well-positioned for on-device AI, where smaller language models can be run directly on iPhones and other Apple devices.
3. Leadership – Svanevik views John Ternus's appointment as CEO as a positive development, given his deep background in hardware engineering.
4. Strong cash flow – Apple's financial strength provides the flexibility to invest heavily in AI, products, and shareholder returns.
5. Strong brand – Apple's ecosystem and brand loyalty remain significant competitive advantages.
Svanevik also argued that the trend towards smaller, more efficient AI models could support Apple. Running AI directly on devices offers the following advantages:
* Better privacy because data remains on the device.
* Lower latency, resulting in faster responses.
* Reduced reliance on cloud computing can lower costs and increase reliability.
Overall, according to Svanevik, Apple can benefit as AI increasingly shifts towards efficient on-device inference rather than relying entirely on large cloud-based models.
It's worth noting that this reflects Svanevik's personal investment thesis and is not a guarantee of Apple's future performance. Apple's success in AI will depend on how effectively it implements its product roadmap and how it competes with other major AI companies.
