Velvet’s Gem airdrop rules are out, and trading volume directly determines your share.

@Velvet_Capital On August 10, they will airdrop 2.71 million $VELVET (current value of about $1 million+); exactly how much you get depends entirely on your position on the Gem leaderboard.
Gem is your activity record on the platform. A snapshot is taken once when the epoch ends.
There are four main ways to earn Gem: spot trading volume, perpetual futures trading volume, staking veVELVET, and the contribution volume from recommending others to trade. Whether it’s VelvetX or the main Dapp’s activity counts.
Rank matters a lot
1. Rank 1 gets 5% of the entire pool
2. Rank 2 is 4.5%
3. Rank 3 is 4%
The top 10 together get 25% or more.
From rank 11 onward it decreases stepwise, but long-tail users still get a share.
As long as you earn more Gem, you can steadily climb up.
If you want to accumulate fast, the core is trading volume. Whether spot or perpetual, every $1 of trading volume can be converted into Gem, with no minimum threshold.
The platform also adds a multiplier mechanism: daily challenges maintain a consecutive trading streak—Day 1 is +5%, and by Day 30 it reaches +150%; the trading volume multiplier is +5% at $1,000, and at $2 million it reaches +350%, and after that, each additional $1 million adds +100%.
Referring friends is a win-win. You can get Gem from their trading volume, and also receive a long-term share of 50% of their fees.
Inviting active traders will make the effect even more obvious.
This approach of directly tying real trading volume to the airdrop is more interesting than a task-only system.
For regular traders, just using the platform normally to trade, stake, or bring in friends lets you accumulate your position bit by bit—without having to do extra unrelated actions.
