Market’s Key Warning This Week! The Fed and the Bank of Japan Hold Rate Decisions in Succession, as Tech Giants Cluster to Release Earnings

Source: BlockBeats News
On July 27, the next week will bring a double shock to global capital markets—macroeconomic policy and corporate earnings—so market volatility is likely to increase. The time window runs from July 27 to August 2. The Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan will roll out their latest interest-rate decisions one after another, and major technology companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Qualcomm, ARM, and others will also concentrate on releasing quarterly results.

I. Major Macroeconomic Policy Timeline

At 2:00 a.m. Beijing time on Thursday, the Federal Reserve FOMC will publish its rate decision. Half an hour later, Powell will hold a policy press conference. On the same day, the United States will also update the latest weekly initial jobless claims data. The market will closely watch the Fed’s assessment of inflation and employment, as well as its statements related to the pace of rate cuts this year.
On Friday, the Bank of Japan will release its rate decision and the governor will hold a press conference at the same time. This outcome will directly affect the yen exchange rate and Japanese government bonds, and in turn will disturb the prices of risk assets across Asia.

II. Heavy Schedule of U.S. Tech Earnings Releases

This week is a peak period for tech giants to disclose earnings:
Wednesday: SK hynix releases its Q2 earnings report, and Seagate Technology holds an earnings communication meeting
Thursday: Meta, Samsung Electronics, Microsoft, Qualcomm, and ARM will release results in turn and hold conference calls
Friday: Apple, Amazon, and Strategy release earnings reports
The market will focus on each company’s operating data across AI computing power, cloud business, advertising, and consumer electronics. #海力士 $SKHYV$AAPL

The Bank of Japan’s meeting could actually trigger a black swan more easily than the Fed’s; once the yen carry trade reverses, the whole of Asia shakes. In tech stocks, AI earnings are the key.

Apple, Microsoft, Meta, and Amazon all just released their earnings reports—whether the AI compute investment is actually paying off will be clear this time. If it comes in below expectations, the stock is likely to get dumped, so proceed cautiously and stay on the sidelines.

Macro and earnings reports are both pressuring the market—position management is more important than directional judgment. It’s recommended to wait until the interest rate decision is finalized before considering an entry. Don’t gamble blindly before the shoe drops.

This week is definitely a big-market week— the Fed and the Bank of Japan are both holding meetings, and big tech giants are rolling out earnings one after another. Volatility is bound to skyrocket, so if you’re trading short-term, buckle up for safety.
