OpenAI poaches executive from programmatic advertising giant: TTD's Chief Strategy Officer appointed as Vice President of Monetization Partnerships

According to Beating Monitoring, programmatic advertising giant The Trade Desk (TTD) Chief Strategy Officer Samantha Jacobson is leaving to join OpenAI as Vice President of Monetization Partnerships. TTD spokesperson confirmed the news and stated that Jacobson will retain her seat on TTD’s board and is expected to officially start her new role at OpenAI later this month. At OpenAI, Jacobson will report to Vice President of Global Business Development Torben Severson. With her extensive background in programmatic advertising, Jacobson will lead OpenAI’s external monetization collaborations, covering areas such as advertising, product distribution, platform infrastructure, and emerging business models.
