Russian State Duma deputies recently submitted a draft bill aimed at cracking down on illegal cryptocurrency mining. This new proposal clearly delineates the illegal costs for different entities: individuals involved in illegal mining face fines of 100,000 to 150,000 rubles, public officials are penalized even more heavily, with fines ranging from 300,000 to 800,000 rubles, and illegal mining involving legal entities is penalized most severely, with fines reaching 1 million to 2 million rubles. Notably, if repeated violations are detected, the fines will be further increased. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Justice stated that illegal mining could be fined up to 1.5 million rubles. These measures reflect Russia's gradually escalating regulatory stance on cryptocurrency mining activities, aiming to regulate market order through legal means.

Russia is really going all out... Over 1 million rubles, it feels like how long would it take to mine there to break even?
