Deep Tide TechFlow News, February 3rd, Ethereum developer Christine D. Kim reminded in the latest briefing that the deadline for the Hegota upgrade proposal is February 4, 2026. The development team is simultaneously advancing both Glamsterdam and Hegota upgrades, planning to complete deployment within the same calendar year.\n\nOn the technical side, the client team is developing partial cell proofs implementation, which will allow the Ethereum mainnet to support a higher number of blobs. Currently, testing is underway on the blob-devnet-0 test network, but Prysm and Lighthouse clients are experiencing field response issues.\n\nGlamsterdam’s bals-devnet-2 is scheduled to launch on February 4th, and developers need to complete pull requests for the two Execution APIs beforehand. The epbs-devnet-0 test network is expected to go live by the end of February, including all changes from the latest consensus specification v1.7.0-alpha.2.\n\nKim also mentioned that inspired by Vitalik Buterin’s discussion on creator tokens, she shared her insights on the role of cryptocurrencies in the creator economy in the full briefing.
