People who can become friends must have similarities or complementary qualities.

People around me used to be confused about why my best friend and I have been friends for twelve years, despite being opposite types—she's the typical emotional thinker, I'm the typical rational thinker.

Her emotions are extremely unstable, while mine are extremely stable, sometimes even seeming cold.

So whenever anything happens, she likes to ask me for advice. Until today when she asked me to go play billiards with her.

I asked: When did you learn to play billiards?

She said: It's all for work.

Me: I thought this was a new hobby of yours.

Her: Any hobby that can't produce value is meaningless.

That statement really struck my soul. I used to play King's Glory for work too.

All my hobbies are also about learning more—studying psychology, learning games, even watching TV I only watch mind-bending series, mystery shows, spy thrillers, business dramas…

We're always anxious on the path of progress. Sometimes I really want to pause, but I just can't stop. It's like having rest anxiety disorder.
