Something big is happening!

China will build a high-speed rail under the Yangtze River, connecting Shanghai to Chengdu, linking three major urban agglomerations. The total investment in the Yangtze River high-speed rail is over 500 billion yuan.
The major project of the 14th Five-Year Plan— the landmark project of the Yangtze River high-speed rail—is accelerating construction. 89 meters beneath the Yangtze River, the world's largest diameter high-speed rail shield tunneling machine is speeding through here. The "14th Five-Year Plan" outline will connect high-standard Yangtze River high-speed rail corridors, incorporating 109 major engineering projects. It will extend from Shanghai all the way to Chengdu, linking three major urban clusters over approximately 2,000 kilometers.
The total investment in the Yangtze River high-speed rail exceeds 500 billion yuan. It is estimated to boost the added value of upstream and downstream industries by nearly 1.5 trillion yuan. A brand-new economic corridor is also rapidly taking shape.
Shenzhen should completely give up the illusion of surpassing Shanghai—what does the Yangtze River estuary mean?
