Odaily Planet Daily News: U.S. Vice President Vance reiterated that the final deadline for Iran is 8:00 p.m. Tuesday Eastern Time in the United States, and said that Hark Island does not mean a strategic shift.

Earlier, according to two U.S. officials, before the deadline set by Trump for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the United States carried out strikes on military targets on Hark Island earlier on Tuesday (local time). One official said the U.S. struck more than 50 targets on the island. The officials said the strikes were conducted early Tuesday morning Eastern Time, and that the targets did not include oil infrastructure. Trump has set Tuesday evening (Eastern Time) as the final deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, otherwise it would face the risk of devastating attacks on energy infrastructure.
