Russia accuses the UK and France of involvement in the Bransk missile attack incident, demands a public statement
On the 13th, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the ambassadors of the United Kingdom and France to Russia to strongly protest the use of cruise missiles produced by the European Missile Group by the Ukrainian military on the 10th to attack the Russian Bryansk city, demanding that the UK and France publicly state their positions and condemn the attack. According to a statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the attack resulted in 7 deaths and over 40 injuries. During the diplomatic negotiations, Russia accused the UK and France of directly participating in this “terrorist act,” asserting that without the involvement of UK and French experts and the provision of intelligence to Ukraine, such a missile attack would have been impossible to carry out. The statement also said that this attack was aimed at undermining current efforts to peacefully resolve the Ukraine crisis. If the UK and France continue to support Ukraine’s military actions, they should be responsible for the escalation of the conflict and the related consequences. The Ukrainian military previously stated that they launched several “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles to strike a Russian military factory in Bryansk, causing serious damage to the production facilities.
