The Human Rights Watch report on Sudan should be front-page news. It documents civilians detained by SAF under Al Burhan, often arbitrarily, without charges, without lawyers, and sometimes without families even knowing where they are.

Some detainees reportedly died in custody due to torture. At least 108 death sentences have been issued.
Why is there so little attention to this?
If Sudan continues down this path without a ceasefire, it risks becoming another prolonged regional crisis like what we are witnessing with Iran.
