How to manage Basic Contract Settings

Click 'Settings' on the top right corner of the Gate.io perpetual page to manage the basic contract settings.

USDT Settlement Contract:
Manage the contract settings under the USDT settlement:


Note:
① The opening position contract can be adjusted to be calculated based on currency or contract amount. ( Note: Adjustment will be applied by all contracts. )
② The mode of position holding can be adjusted to a one-way position ( There is only one position for each contract) or a two-way position ( At most two positions will be supported for each contract under the isolated position mode with independent position margin ). ( Note: Adjustment will be applied by all contracts. )
③ After turning on the order confirmation function, you will receive notifications of Limit Orders, Market Orders, and Planned Orders. ( Note: The confirmation box will pop up every time when submitting an order. )
④ You can choose whether to turn on the settlement confirmation. Once turned on, the notification will pop up when there is an order settled; if not, there will not be any notifications for settled orders. ( Note: Adjustments will be applied by all contracts. )
⑤ You can choose whether to turn on the price protection. ( Note: Once turned on, when the Stop-Limit reached the trigger price and the price difference between the last price and mark price exceeds the reasonable threshold preset by the system, the Stop-limit order will be rejected in order to prevent the stop-limit caused by the price fluctuation. The price protection will be put into use once it's turned on, and the API order will not be limited to whether the price protection is turned on or not. Adjustments will be applied by all contracts. )
⑥ You can choose whether to turn on the stop-limit trigger notification and funding fee notification. ( Once turned on, the notification will be sent through E-mail). ( Note: Once turned on, the notifications will be sent through E-mail, and adjustments will be applied by all contracts. )
⑦ Click 'Confirm' to apply all settings.


BTC Settlement Contract:
Manage the contract settings under the BTC settlement:


Note:
① The mode of position holding can be adjusted to a one-way position ( There is only one position for each contract) or a two-way position ( At most two positions will be supported for each contract under the isolated position mode with independent position margin ). ( Note: Adjustment will be applied by all contracts. )
