Things that can be done well in the实体经济 (real economy), Web3 should also do well—trust is one of them.

Imagine if the identities of both parties in a transaction are unknown and their backgrounds are unclear, then even the most advanced technology is useless. That’s why some platforms have set up so many verification layers in Web3. KYC personal identity verification, KYB corporate identity verification, KYG regional verification—these three layers of verification build a progressive system. It may sound a bit strict, but it’s precisely about establishing a trustworthy foundation for global business.

Security is of course important, but the real value lies deeper—building an ecosystem where business partners dare to trust. When every participant is verified, risks are significantly reduced, and transaction costs naturally decrease. This is not about restrictions but about laying infrastructure for the entire Web3 business environment. It seems that compliance and innovation have found a balance here.

To be honest, this triple KYC approach does sound a bit annoying, but I have to admit... it does solve the problem. If Web3 still wants to rely on anonymity to promote freedom, it will truly become a breeding ground for scalping, and no one will dare to make large transactions.

KYC, KYB, KYG three-layer verification sounds like it’s pushing Web3 towards traditional finance, but through research and analysis, it indeed can reduce counterparty risk. The key question is—who sets the rules, and who supervises those verifying parties?

That's right, but can this KYC system really hold up? It still depends on how it's implemented. Web3 advocates decentralization, yet the verification layer keeps getting more complex. Isn't that contradictory... Finally, someone has said it out loud: trust is indeed fundamental. Without it, everything is just nonsense. The three-layer verification sounds strict, but compared to the cumbersome approval process of traditional finance, it's actually not too bad. The key is not to let KYC become an excuse for cutting corners and exploiting users, or else this infrastructure will turn into a tool for power rent-seeking. I get this logic—reducing transaction costs can indeed attract more legitimate players. By the way, how many platforms are actually tightening their verification processes now? Or are they just going through the motions? The seemingly contradictory ends can actually be unified. Web3 should think like this to be on point.

Oh no, it's the same old KYC process again. It feels like Web3 is about to be heavily regulated... But on the other hand, without trust, there's really nothing you can do. That's true.

Basically, it still comes down to fundamentals. Decentralization doesn't mean lawlessness. Although KYC can be a bit annoying, we have to admit that it really helps reduce transaction costs. I've seen too many unverified transactions go wrong before, and now I think verification is a necessary evil.

kyc layering sounds like pattern clustering to me... watching how wallets behave through verification gates is basically address profiling with extra steps, ngl

Well said, finally someone dares to say this. If Web3 can't solve the trust issue, it will always just be a hype concept.

In simple terms, decentralization still needs gatekeepers; otherwise, it would be chaotic.

To be honest, KYC can be annoying to hear about, but it's something we have to accept. However, Web3 still relies on decentralization. Too much verification might just turn into the traditional financial system, right?
