Imagine you just received $50,000 and need to make a call: lock it into one crypto asset for exactly 5 years, then keep whatever it becomes. No selling, no trading out—just hold and see what happens.

Here's your choice: Bitcoin, the granddaddy that started it all. Ethereum, the smart contract powerhouse. Litecoin, the silver to Bitcoin's gold. Or Solana, the speed demon with growing ecosystem traction.

Each one tells a different story. Bitcoin's narrative centers on scarcity and store-of-value adoption. Ethereum rides on DeFi expansion and network upgrades. Litecoin has been consistently grinding as a payment-focused chain. Solana's betting on throughput advantages and developer momentum.

Five years is a meaningful window—long enough to smooth out volatility, short enough that regulatory or technical shifts could dramatically reshape valuations. Your decision here really forces you to pick which fundamental thesis you believe in most.

So what's your move? Which one would you actually hold for a full 5-year cycle?

Laozi directly all in BTC, in 5 years either get rich or go to zero, no market watching in between.

All in BTC is a must; everything else is gambling mentality. Five years is long enough; history has proven everything.

I would definitely choose BTC; everything else is just gambling mentality. In five years, either Bitcoin becomes the global store of value benchmark, or the entire industry is hopeless. The fluctuations of ETH, SOL, and others are too fierce and can't withstand a regulatory slap.

Five years is really a long time, but I still bet on BTC, after all, human nature has never changed.

Can you stop messing around and just go all in on Bitcoin? The others are all casino games.

nah eth's governance is already showing fracture lines... five years is plenty of time for a successful attack vector to emerge. honestly? the chains that survive aren't the ones with the prettiest roadmaps
