I put money to work and watch it multiply. You spend money to signal status. Different playbooks entirely.
One builds wealth. The other burns it on appearances. That's the real difference between those who get rich and those who just look the part.

That's what they say, but few people actually put their money in to make it grow. Most are just pretending they have an investment logic.

That's true, but most people still can't change this habit; they have to buy luxury goods to prove their existence.

There's nothing wrong with that; it's just a matter of who can resist the temptation.

nah, this wealth vs. status thing hits different when you've actually watched tvl migrate across chains. seen too many people yoloing into flashy defi protocols just for the airdrop clout... then the bridge exploit hits and suddenly their "status signal" is a liquidity fragment scattered across three different contract addresses. slippage tolerance can't save you from poor trust assumptions, fr.

That's a brilliant way to put it. There are really two paths: one with compound interest, and the other with burning money.
