There's an interesting idea—when technology becomes sufficiently advanced, our entire understanding of wealth might be overturned. The logic of saving money will become as outdated as primitive people hoarding shells; what truly matters is the ability to master and accumulate resources.

But the problem is, before reaching a future of great material abundance, we must go through a transitional phase where everyone is unemployed. How long this phase will last and how difficult it will be, no one can say for sure.

Education will also be redefined. The purpose of going to college will be reduced to making friends; the traditional function of knowledge transfer will essentially disappear. The same logic applies in the medical field—once AI medical technology matures, many doctors will lose their jobs, but from another perspective, almost all diseases can be conquered, and human lifespan will see a huge leap. Whether this is an opportunity or a challenge depends on how we prepare today.

Well said, but I'm just worried we can't get through this transition period. When the unemployment wave hits, who's going to provide UBI? That's the real issue. I'm actually pleased to see doctors lose their jobs, but only if AI is truly reliable... Universities have become social platforms, so what use is my paper degree certificate? The problem is resource accumulation ability; wealth disparity could become even more extreme. So what should I learn now? Should I wait to be eliminated? I just want to know how long this transition will last—five years, ten years, or fifty years.

To be honest, the most heartbreaking part is during the transition phase. Everyone can imagine how wonderful the future will be, but how do we survive these ten or twenty years? No one has the answer. I have to admit that the only remaining function of college is socializing, and now it’s basically a reality. As for healthcare, it seems less problematic; AI doing the work means doctors lose their jobs, ordinary people can see a doctor cheaply, and everyone is happy. The real concern is that the growing wealth gap caused by education and employment issues is becoming more and more outrageous. What truly matters is the ability to accumulate resources, but who teaches you that? Schools don’t teach it, and your family may not understand either. Wait, let’s flip the logic—are the cryptocurrencies and NFTs we’re hoarding now just like the shells of primitive humans?

To be honest, this transition phase is the real hell. Who the hell knows if we'll even live to see that utopia?
