Is Bitcoin expected to surge to $170,000 within three months? Technical signals suggest an optimistic outlook.

According to the latest data, Bitcoin is currently trading at around $92,170, a significant correction from the October high of $126,080. However, behind this decline lies a market-overlooked signal—the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has fallen below the oversold threshold of 30, a rare occurrence that has only happened five times in the past three years, each time signaling a subsequent upward trend.

Historical Patterns Indicate Massive Upside Potential

Looking back at past technical records, whenever the RSI reaches extreme oversold levels, Bitcoin tends to reverse. Julien Bittel, Head of Macro Research at Global Macro Investor, points out that if this historical pattern continues to hold, the target price of $170,000 could be achieved within the next three months. Compared to the current price, this represents over 80% upside potential.

Institutional Funds Become New Drivers

In addition to technical support, the crypto asset market is experiencing a structural shift. Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer at Bitwise, reveals that the inflow trajectory of crypto ETFs is “extremely optimistic,” with several major brokerages already entering the market. This influx of institutional capital is expected to create new peaks in ETF fund flows by 2026, providing a new source of buying pressure for the entire market.

Analysts believe that the technical oversold signals combined with macro liquidity improvements are setting the stage for Bitcoin’s next rally.
