Rank Group Names Finance Chief Richard Harris as Interim CEO Following O'Reilly's Retirement

Rank Group Plc (RNK.L, RANKF), the London-based gaming services operator, disclosed that Chief Financial Officer Richard Harris will assume the role of interim Chief Executive Officer starting January 30, following the retirement of current CEO John O’Reilly on January 29.

The company has launched a formal recruitment initiative to identify a permanent chief executive to lead the organization forward. O’Reilly, who took the helm in April 2018, will remain engaged with the business through the conclusion of the 2025/26 financial year to facilitate a smooth leadership transition. According to Chair John Ott, O’Reilly’s tenure has been marked by his profound expertise in the gambling sector and strong operational acumen, positioning Rank Group favorably for continued growth and industry advancement.

Richard Harris brings substantial financial and operational credentials to the interim leadership position. He originally joined Rank’s executive leadership in May 2022, where he has served as an Executive Director alongside his CFO responsibilities. Before his tenure at Rank, Harris held the Chief Financial Officer position at Foxtons Group Plc and previously worked in senior finance roles at both Laird Plc and Marks and Spencer Plc, demonstrating a track record across diverse sectors.
