From dream to reality, often it only takes an announcement.

Twitter's product lead Nikita Bier announced an exciting update on January 11th: next month, the Smart Cashtags feature will be officially launched. What does this mean? Simply put, asset codes appearing in tweets (such as $BTC, $BONK, $BASE) will be able to accurately point to the corresponding assets, especially allowing cryptocurrencies to be directly matched to specific contract addresses.

Users can click on these tickers to see real-time price quotes and browse all discussions about the asset on the Twitter platform. A preview image shared by Nikita Bier demonstrates the actual effect of this feature, showcasing several mainstream cryptocurrencies.

Even more interestingly, someone in the comments asked if this indicates that in the future, trading could be directly conducted on Twitter via self-custody wallets or CEX interfaces. The response was an eye emoji full of implication.

Ironically, the day before this good news was announced, the crypto community on Twitter had just erupted in a large-scale protest, with the focus pointing directly at the same person. It’s as if suddenly, all conflicts were resolved seamlessly through this feature update.

Huh? Just a simple eye emoji and you want to fool us? I'm really tired of this routine. --- Twitter integrating with the crypto world... Basically, they just want to trap all the retail investors within their ecosystem. --- Just the day before, they were mocked in the group, and the next day they drop a big move. The timing is quite perfect. --- Smart Cashtags sound good, but the real question is—who the TM trusts Twitter's financial features? --- Wait, is the eye emoji for direct trading serious? If that really happens, Twitter might blow up. --- Talking about resolving conflicts... I think it's just a bigger scam brewing. --- Clicking on the ticker to see prices... Coinbase has already done that a long time ago, nothing new, right? --- Centralized platforms are about to get involved in trading again. Decentralized folks should wake up.

Can an eye emoji resolve conflicts? I have to give this move a perfect score.

Just a simple eye expression and you think you can fool us? Are you really treating us like fools?

The eye expression is really on point now. Is Twitter planning to become an exchange?

Amazing, a feature was directly approved by the official, just the day before there were complaints haha Truly, a turn of events and suddenly we're friends, this trick is really clever Honestly, it still depends on when the trading feature will actually go live, I might also use the emoji Wait, is this compliant? Feels like something might go wrong A bit outrageous, and it was just brushed off so casually? Stop bragging, let's see the launch effect first This guy really knows how to leverage the situation, shifting public opinion and then releasing a feature update, a master-level move
