Ripple and Mastercard are conducting a pilot program for real-time credit card settlements using the RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP ledger. This backend test aims to integrate blockchain technology into traditional payment systems. The pilot project was launched in November 2025, using $1.3 billion worth of fully collateralized RLUSD stablecoins, enabling transaction settlements within seconds, whereas traditional systems typically require a delay of one to three days.

XRP trading price is $1.87, and in the face of increasing overall market uncertainty, it has held the support level of $1.86. Roundhill Investments has submitted a unique XRP-related ETF application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The structure of this ETF is designed to generate returns through options on other XRP-based ETFs rather than holding the tokens directly, indicating that regulatory acceptance of XRP is increasing. Although exchange balances have not changed significantly, suggesting cautious investor sentiment, on-chain data shows a substantial increase in the number of new XRP addresses, indicating that market participants' interest in XRP is growing before potential catalysts like ETFs emerge.
