Location: Shaanxi History Museum Location: Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province Once you enter Chang'an, you can glimpse a thousand years at a glance.
Stepping through the朱红大门 of the Shaanxi History Museum feels like passing through a corridor of time. The sentiment of "Once entering Chang'an, one can glimpse a thousand years at a glance" is vividly illustrated at this moment.
Strolling through the exhibition hall, starting from the Neolithic human-faced fish-patterned colored pottery basin, my fingertips seem to touch the warmth of the ancestors from eight thousand years ago; the taotie pattern on the Shang and Zhou bronze cauldrons speaks of the solemnity of ritual and music under the light; fragments of the Terracotta Warriors from the Qin Dynasty are quietly displayed, and in a daze, one can almost hear the clamor of carriages and horses on the ancient road of Xianyang. The most breathtaking is the Tang Dynasty gilt iron-core bronze dragon, its body winding, with scales and claws prominent, as if the grand spirit of the flourishing Tang Dynasty is frozen within this small space.
In the glass display case, ancient coins reflect the luster of different dynasties, and each terracotta figurine outlines the diverse lives of common people. There is no need to deliberately trace back; the long scroll of time from the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties to the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties slowly unfolds before the eyes. As I walked out of the exhibition hall, the setting sun of Chang'an was casting a slanted light on the eaves, and the thousand years of time seemed only a brief gaze.

Once you enter Chang'an, you can see a thousand years at a glance.
Stepping through the vermilion gate of the Shaanxi History Museum feels like traversing a corridor of time. The sensation of 'Once you enter Chang'an, you can see a thousand years at a glance' has found its most vivid interpretation at this moment.
Wandering through the exhibition hall, starting from the Neolithic human-faced fish-patterned pottery basin, it feels as if your fingertips can touch the warmth of ancestors from eight thousand years ago; the taotie pattern on the bronze cauldrons of the Shang and Zhou dynasties solemnly narrates the grandeur of ritual and music civilization under the light; fragments of the Terracotta Army from the Qin dynasty are quietly displayed, and in a daze, one can almost hear the clattering of carts and horses on the ancient roads of Xianyang. Most striking is the Tang dynasty gilded iron-core copper dragon, its body winding, scales and claws displayed prominently, as if the majestic spirit of the Tang dynasty is frozen within this small space.
In the glass display cases, ancient coins flow with the luster of different dynasties, and each figurine outlines the diverse lives of common folk. There is no need for deliberate tracing; the long scroll of time from Zhou, Qin, Han, Tang to Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing unfolds gradually before your eyes. As you walk out of the exhibition hall, the sunset in Chang'an is casting slanted rays on the eaves, and a thousand years of time seems like just a brief glance.

#GateTravel旅行分享官# I have been to the Shaanxi History Museum three times in seven years, and each time feels different. Besides the National Museum, Sanxingdui, and Qingzhou, it's my favorite 😍
