My story with the encryption circle

Around the end of last year, I heard my friend mention the term "cryptocurrency circle" for the first time. At that time, the AI concept was trending, and he told me: "Bro, it's normal to buy some AI concept coins now and see them multiply tenfold in a few months."
I was skeptical, but I was also attracted by the story of "turning over a new leaf overnight."

The savings and part-time job money I had saved up totaled twenty thousand yuan, which was all of my savings since college. That night, I registered an account on the exchange and bought a token that was being wildly promoted on Twitter at the time. Watching the price fluctuate made my heart race. That kind of excitement was something I had never experienced before.

At first, I really made a profit. During that week, my account rose from twenty thousand to thirty thousand at one point. I even started to fantasize, if this continues, could I achieve financial independence through investing?
But the market always likes to give people lessons.

In the second week, the project team announced an "upgrade," and the token price began to decline. I told myself it was just a temporary fluctuation and continued to buy more at the bottom. As a result, a few days later, it was revealed that the founding team had run away. The price instantly halved and eventually almost reached zero.
My twenty thousand dollars is down to just over two thousand.

That night, I stared at my phone screen, feeling empty inside. It wasn't because the money was gone, but rather that sense of frustration that "all your efforts are in vain." It was then that I truly understood that the market won't show mercy just because you are a student.

I haven't touched trading for a few months. Later, I偶然 saw a book about risk management in the library, and there was a sentence that motivated me again—
"Investment is not gambling, but an art of dancing with uncertainty."

I started learning fundamental analysis, reading white papers, and understanding the technology behind projects. Later on, I learned to dollar-cost average into mainstream coins and control my positions, no longer fantasizing about getting rich overnight.
This year, I relied on a steady strategy to slowly earn back fifteen thousand from the two thousand. Although I haven't completely recovered the losses, my mindset is completely different now.

Looking back now, that loss was actually my ticket into the encryption world. It taught me caution, rationality, and to be wary of "quick success."
If it weren't for that failure, I might never learn to respect the market.

I still believe in blockchain and the future. This time, I will move forward step by step with a calm mind and firm belief. @Brother Bitcoin
